Shoojit Sircar, the visionary director and producer, had shared the challenges he confronted: “It is my imaginative and prescient, How are you aware about my imaginative and prescient?” He was determined in his choice to not let a handful of individuals in a studio dictate the way forward for his imaginative and prescient.
Artistic producer Ronnie Lahiri famous that many believed the movie wouldn’t succeed given the casting decisions and the story’s nature. Ritesh Shah, the movie’s author, talked about that the skepticism from some studios made Sircar really feel as if his credibility as a filmmaker was being questioned.
Confronted with repeated refusals, Sircar determined to take issues into his personal fingers, declaring, “Koi bhi studio ke paas nahin jayenge, khud karenge chahe kuch bhi ho jaye. I wasn’t difficult them, I used to be difficult myself. I used to be actually pissed off.”
This unwavering resolve paid off. Made on a finances of simply Rs. 23 crore, Pink exceeded expectations by grossing over 100 crore on the field workplace. Pink featured Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles. The movie was directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.
