Cate Blanchett has signed on to star in a brand new stage adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s play The Seagull on the Barbican in London.
The manufacturing will mark Blanchett’s first stage look in six years.
Blanchett will painting Arkadina within the adaptation, which can also be set to star Tom Burke (The Memento). The manufacturing will run for six weeks from February 2025.
The manufacturing can be directed by Thomas Ostermeier who advised BBC Information of Blanchett’s casting: “I’ve identified and admired Cate for a few years, and to see her on stage is all the time a privilege.”

Blanchett will subsequent be seen in Alfonso Cuarón’s Disclaimer, a seven-episode restricted sequence for Apple TV+ The restricted sequence will make its world debut on October 11 with the primary two episodes adopted by new episodes each Friday by November 15.
