Nicole Kidman paid emotional tribute to her late dad and mom as she accepted an award on the Palm Springs International Film Awards Friday.
The Australian actress broke down in tears as she spoke about her household after receiving the Worldwide Star Award from Jamie Lee Curtis on the 36th annual occasion.
Kidman misplaced her mom Janelle in September, receiving the information shortly earlier than she was attributable to obtain an award on the Venice Movie Pageant for her function in Babygirl. Her father Anthony died in 2014.
The Daily Mail newspaper reports that Kidman advised the Palm Springs viewers:
“I went house over Christmas. I’ve misplaced each my dad and mom, and I’m in that place, like, okay, that is totally different now.

“Now I’m on stage, and I’m again right here. Thanks for giving me the possibility to say that is for my mother.
“My complete profession has been for my mother and my dad they usually’re not right here anymore. I wish to maintain working and giving to the world.
‘”’m sorry I’m crying. I didn’t wish to try this however I really feel my mama proper now. That is for you, mama.”
Kidman is hotly tipped for this Awards Season for her function in erotic drama Babygirl, by which she performs a senior company government overwhelmed by her obsession with a youthful male colleague. She beforehand received an Academy Award for The Hours (2003).
