Tom Cibrowski, who had high roles at ABC Information, has been named president and government editor of CBS Information.
Cibrowski’s appointment follows the exit of Adrienne Roark, who introduced final week that she was going to Tegna for a senior function.
Wendy McMahon, CEO and president of CBS Information and Stations, stated in an announcement, “Tom brings a transparent imaginative and prescient, recent perspective and aggressive edge that can serve us nicely right here at CBS Information. From bringing GMA to #1 to his huge worldwide expertise, I’ve little doubt he’ll lead CBS Information to new heights. He will likely be instrumental in our mission to raise the standard of our information protection and strengthen our dedication to excellence.” Selection first reported that Cibrowski was anticipated to take a high management function.
Ciborwski will begin on March 17.
