Longtime Black Dahlia Homicide guitarist Brandon Ellis has introduced his departure from the band this morning. Ellis performed for The Black Dahlia Homicide from 2016 to 2025 and carried out on three of the band’s albums – Nightbringers in 2017, Verminous in 2020, and Servitude in 2024. Ellis did not say a lot about his causes for leaving the band, solely noting that “the time has come that I need to shut this chapter and start the subsequent.”
“I’ve not too long ago parted methods with The Black Dahlia Homicide. I am grateful for my 9 years spent with this iconic band, and to have had the uncommon honor of creating music with the legendary Trevor Strnad. I am pleased with my contributions to the band’s legacy and of all that we have completed collectively.
“Sadly, the time has come that I need to shut this chapter and start the subsequent. I would prefer to thank the followers for the mountains of help they’ve afforded us everywhere in the years, and I want the band the most effective in all future endeavors.”
