One other star could also be near becoming a member of Steven Spielberg‘s subsequent film, as Deadline is reporting that Colin Firth is in talks to hitch his untitled and mysterious occasion film.
Deadline notes that Firth is in “early talks” to hitch the venture, and will he settle for a task, he’ll star reverse Emily Blunt, who has already been tapped to guide the image. As was the case with Blunt’s casting, no actual details about Firth’s proposed function is thought, as largely nothing is thought in regards to the venture altogether.

Spielberg’s subsequent movie will likely be backed by Universal Pictures and is about to open on Could 15, 2026. As of but, it’s unclear what the venture will likely be known as and even about, though earlier studies did be aware that Spielberg was engaged on an original UFO story.
Spielberg will likely be working with David Koepp on the movie, with Koepp writing the script for the venture. The pair aren’t any strangers to one another, with Koepp having written 1993’s Jurassic Park, 1997’s The Misplaced World: Jurassic Park, 2005’s Conflict of the Worlds, and 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Cranium for Spielberg.
Spielberg’s final characteristic movie was 2022’s The Fabelmans, a venture that was written and directed by Spielberg and instructed a fictionalized model of his adolescence and first years as a filmmaker.
