Dick Capri, the comic and actor, has died. He was 93.
After spending his last Christmas along with his household, Capri succumbed to a bleeding enlarged aorta, dying in his sleep within the early hours of Thursday, Dec. 26 in Florida.
“The world isn’t as humorous as we speak because it was yesterday,” the comic’s son Jeff instructed TMZ, explaining that his father knew his time was restricted because the aorta was deemed inoperable on account of his age.
Spending the vacation along with his son, daughter-in-law and life companion, Dick FaceTimed with family members out of city and loved a meal from his favourite restaurant earlier than his death.
Born Richard Crupi in Studying, Pennsylvania, Dick started performing stand-up comedy within the ’60s, with appearances on The Merv Griffin Present and The Ed Sullivan Present, earlier than embarking on tour with Englebert Humperdinck in 1973, which took him to Radio Metropolis Music Corridor and venues the world over.

Working with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Liza Minelli and Tom Jones, Dick carried out comedy for Presidents Gerald Ford and George Bush. He additionally appeared in The NY Friars Membership Roast of Drew Carey, airing on Comedy Central in 1998.
Dick appeared within the James Orr/Johnny Yune-helmed slapstick comedy They Nonetheless Name Me Bruce (1987) earlier than making his Broadway debut in Catskills on Broadway at Lunt-Fontanne Theater in 1991.
