Deafheaven has taken a tough left flip away from their calmer, extra shoegaze-influenced final file Infinite Granite on their new single “Magnolia”. The only leans manner tougher into songs like “From the Kettle Onto the Coil” and “Black Brick”, and is frankly utterly fucking vicious. I adore it! The only comes alongside a video co-directed by Sean Stout and Chelsea Jade.
Deafheaven will launch their debut on Roadrunner Data named Lonely Individuals With Energy on March 28. Lonely Individuals With Energy was recorded with producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen and was blended by Zach Weeks of GodCity Studio. Lonely Individuals With Energy contains extra vocal contributions from Jae Matthews of Boy Harsher and Paul Banks of Interpol.
