Veteran actor Dharmendra congratulated Mithun Chakraborty for receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award on the seventieth Nationwide Movie Awards ceremony. President Droupadi Murmu gave the award to him on October 8.
Dharmendra took to social media to hail the actor and congratulate him for his achievement. Sharing a photograph of them, he wrote, “Pricey MithUN , Congratulations ðÂ¥ÂðÂ¥ÂðÂ¥ÂðÂ¥Âfor Dada Saheb phalke ðÂÂ¥ India’s most prestigious Award . Give my like to everybody at residence. i’m out of INDIA BUT I WILL DEFINITELY COME TO GIVE YOU A BIG HUG ð¤”
Mithun and Dharmendra shared the display screen a number of instances in movies reminiscent of Ghulami, Watan Ke Rakhwale, Jagir, Hum Se Na Takrana and Ilaaka amongst others.
Talking of Mithun, the veteran actor made his debut in 1976 with Mrinal Sen’s movie Mrigayaa. This movie bagged him his first Nationwide Award for Finest Actor.
He made his Bengali movie debut in 1978 with Nadi Theke Sagare and shortly rose to stardom with movies like Shaukeen, Ashanti, Disco Dancer, Troyee, Ranjeeta and Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki amongst others.
