Fiona Apple has shared a brand new cowl track. Her rendition of “These days” seems on Tonight I’ll Go Down Swingin’, a tribute album devoted to the late drummer and singer-songwriter Don Heffington. Don Heffington was a daily at Largo, the Los Angeles membership that Fiona Apple enshrined with a bonus track on her 2012 album, The Idler Wheel…. Heffington died in March 2021, at age 70, of problems from leukemia. “Lately” served because the closing track on the ultimate solo studio album of his lifetime, 2016’s Contemporary Abstractions in Folk Song and Dance.
