Franz Ferdinand will return with their first album in seven years, The Human Worry, on January 10, 2025. Reuniting with Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action producer Mark Ralph, the band recorded the Always Ascending follow-up at AYR studios in Scotland. In a press launch, Alex Kapranos mentioned of the tune, “It’s about having an audacious response once you really feel the material of existence come undone round you. Being daring, opposite. Peering over the sting into the eternity of non-existence and saying Aye! Fuck it! Not as we speak thanks!”
Of the album, he added, “Making this file was some of the life-affirming experiences I’ve had, but it surely’s known as The Human Worry. Worry reminds you that you just’re alive. I believe all of us are addicted ultimately to the excitement it can provide us. How we reply to it reveals how we’re human. So right here’s a bunch of songs trying to find the fun of being human by way of fears. Not that you just’d essentially discover on first pay attention.”
The Human Worry, launched by way of Domino, is the primary Franz Ferdinand album to characteristic drummer Audrey Tait and guitarist Dino Bardot. Songwriter Julian Corrie teamed up with Kapranos and Bob Hardy on songwriting duties. The brand new lineup will tour Europe early subsequent 12 months.
