The official Hippo trailer for Kinematics’ upcoming black-and-white darkish comedy has been launched. The movie facilities round two step-siblings as they wrestle to navigate life as youngsters, whereas dwelling below a repressed spiritual family.

When is the Hippo launch date?
Hippo is scheduled to make its debut in choose theaters on November 12, 2024. The movie stars Kimball Farley (Ghost Hunt) as Hippo, Lilla Kizlinger (Rationalization for Everuir) as Buttercup, Eliza Roberts (Nationwide Lampoon’s Animal Home) as Ethel, Jesse Pimentel (Within the Second) as Darwin, and Vann Barrett as Dr. Lombardi, with Eric Roberts (The Darkish Knight) because the narrator.
The movie is is directed by Mark H. Rapaport, who co-wrote the script with Farley. Govt producers are David Gordon Inexperienced, Danny McBride, Jody Hill, Brandon James, Charmaine Kowalski, and Julian Lawitschka, with Rapaport, Anthony Argento, and Siyu Lin serving as producers.
“The movie examines the coming-of-age of two step-siblings: Hippo, a video-game addicted teenager and Buttercup, a Hungarian Catholic immigrant with a love of classical music and Jesus,” reads the synopsis. “Just like the Historical Greek Aphrodite, Buttercup’s love is unrequited by a brother who prefers to indulge the artwork of conflict and chaos. The result’s a hormone-fueled, tragicomic waking nightmare that have to be seen to be believed.”
