Idris Elba has been allotted some land in Zanzibar to launch a movie studio.
The BBC reports that the UK actor and DJ has been given the green light to play his half in creating Africa’s increasing movie business within the Tanzanian archipelago in East Africa – with a studio that might be just like any in “Hollywood, Nollywood or Bollywood” and will turn into “Zollywood,” in accordance with Zanzibar’s funding minister Shariff Ali Shariff talking on the Zanzibar Worldwide Movie Competition this week.
