Japandroids are again with one other new single from their forthcoming ultimate album, Fate & Alcohol. The brand new track “All Bets Are Off,” which closes out the LP, drew direct inspiration from singer-guitarist Brian King’s tour diary on an evening off, throughout which he noticed an outdated flame whereas posting up at a bar to watch characters. “All Bets Are Off” follows the beforehand launched Destiny & Alcohol singles “D&T” and “Chicago.” The total album arrives on October 18 through Anti-. When explaining how they approached their new and final LP, King defined that Japandroids “made sure that each track ripped in our jam area earlier than [longtime recording engineer] Jesse [Gander] ever heard it,” a means for them to prioritize power and quantity.
King and singer-drummer David Prowse met within the mid-2000s as college students on the College of Victoria in British Columbia. They launched their first Japandroids album, Post-Nothing, in 2009 after relocating to Vancouver, and adopted it up with 2012’s Celebration Rock, 2017’s Near to the Wild Heart of Life, and the 2020 stay album Massey Fucking Hall.
