EXCLUSIVE: London and Paris-based manufacturing and gross sales firm Movie Constellation has unveiled a primary teaser trailer for Charlie Chaplin doc Chaplin: Spirit Of The Tramp, directed by his granddaughter, Carmen Chaplin.
The movie, an intimate portrait of the comedian icon from contained in the household circle, will get its world premiere on the San Sebastian Film Festival subsequent month.
Th characteristic tells the story of Chaplin’s household as they embark on a journey into the Gypsy heritage that helped encourage his notorious and beloved character, The Tramp.
It marks the primary time the Chaplin household has collaborated so extensively on a documentary about their famed relative, with narration by Michael J. Chaplin, and interviews with Geraldine Chaplin, Victoria Chaplin, Jane Chaplin and Christopher Chaplin.
Additionally amongst speaking heads are filmmakers, actors and performers together with Johnny Depp, Emir Kusturica, Tony Gatlif, Stochelo Rosenberg, Lita Cabellut, and Farruquito.
BTeam will launch the movie in Spain, with Periscoop on board within the Netherlands.
Pic is made in collaboration with the Chaplin Workplace, the Chaplin household, and mk2 movies. A Spanish-UK-Dutch co-production, it’s produced by Wave of Humanity, Basque Movies, and Atlantika Movies, in affiliation with Kwanon Movies and Roy Export SAS, and co-produced by Submarine Chic and Constellation Productions.
Writers are Carmen Chaplin, Ashim Bhalla, Isaki Lacuesta, and Amaya Remírez García, with enhancing by Julia Juaniz (Discovering Steve McQueen), cinematography by Kenneth Oribe (Fronteras) and authentic rating by Nathaniel Méchaly (Taken trilogy).
Movie Constellation may also be at San Sebastian with Flip Me On starring Bel Powley and Nick Robinson.
