Linkin Park‘s reunion has been a whirlwind over the previous few days. The band introduced Emily Armstrong as their new vocalist (which has caused quite a stir) alongside a new record and some tour dates, in addition to addressed why original drummer Rob Bourdon isn’t a part of things. Linkin Park would then go on to disclose that authentic guitarist Brad Delson won’t tour with the band, however would stay energetic behind the scenes.
So new lineup, new music, tour dates, all that – however why come again as Linkin Park? Why not resurrect the outdated Xero title or come again as one other band? In response to Linkin Park‘s Mike Shinoda in an interview with Q101, it simply felt proper to come back again as Linkin Park.
“In the course of the method, we have been open to, like, perhaps the lineup is sort of a transferring lineup, perhaps there’s a number of vocalists, perhaps it is a totally different title, stuff like that,” stated Shinoda. “After which because the music got here into focus, we have been, like, ‘That is as Linkin Park an album as we may make. It is so Linkin Park that if we name it one thing else, then we’re idiots.’ As a result of it might be like misrepresentation. It would be foolish. And when folks hear extra of the album, they may perceive that.”
Linkin Park in 2025 is Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, Joe Hahn, Armstrong, and Colin Brittain. Linkin Park will launch their upcoming document From Zero on November 15 and can play a handful of exhibits beginning this week in Los Angeles.
