MrBeast thinks security considerations about his Amazon Prime Video sequence had been overstated.
The YouTube behemoth, often known as Jimmy Donaldson, stated claims that contestants had been uncovered to unsafe situations and sexual harassment had been “blown out of proportion.”
MrBeast made the touch upon X (previously Twitter) after Prime Video launched a teaser trailer for Beast Games, which premieres on December 19.
Commenting on the trailer, a person requested him: “Is that this the identical one the place numerous contestants complained of horrible situations?”
MrBeast replied: “We have now tons of behind the scenes dropping when the present does to indicate how blown out of proportion these claims had been. Simply can’t launch it now as a result of it could spoil the video games.”
The allegations against Beast Games first surfaced in a New York Times investigation in August. The publication spoke with greater than a dozen contestants, who stated there was insufficient meals or medical care on the sport present and that some rivals suffered accidents throughout bodily challenges.
The Times report was followed by a class-action lawsuit against MrBeast and Amazon, which claimed that Beast Video games “subjected the contestants to unreasonable, unsafe, and illegal employment situations.” It featured allegations of sexual harassment and stated contestants had been hospitalized.
The ten-part recreation present options 1,000 gamers competing for a $5M grand prize by breaking world data and finishing challenges.
“I poured all the pieces I’ve into this present,” MrBeast stated, including: “My current YouTube movies def suffered a bit from me filming this present/spending a bajillion hours on it, whoops.”
