Peter Dinklage desires extra folks to see The Toxic Avenger and opens up when the movie can have a large launch.
In a current interview, the Recreation of Thrones alum stated that the movie “was a very massive hit” at Incredible Fest in Austin and was hopeful it might see the sunshine quickly.
“No, I’m not a producer on it. I don’t know,” the actor instructed ComicBook when requested if he knew something in regards to the film’s launch. “I do need it to get on the market into the world as a result of it was a very massive hit at Incredible Fest in Austin, and Macon Blair, the author/director who can be in The Thicket … He’s unbelievable. He’s one among my favourite folks and favourite artists. So hopefully it’ll have its day within the poisonous solar.”
The Poisonous Avenger was a part of the Fantastic Fest 2023 lineup, the place it had its world premiere. The Legendary Photos movie is a hilarious and action-packed reimagining of the traditional Troma movie from director Macon Blair. Dinklage stars within the movie alongside Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Elijah Wooden, and Kevin Bacon.
The Poisonous Avenger facilities on Toxie, born when a mild-mannered janitor named Melvin, from Tromaville, NJ, took a tumble into radioactive poisonous waste. The feckless Melvin emerges remodeled into Toxie, a repulsive (but oddly endearing) mutant hero who stands as much as bullies and corruption with typically deadly zeal.
The unique movie premiered in 1984, starring Mitch Cohen as Toxie. It spawned three sequel movies, a stage musical, a youngsters’s cartoon TV sequence, and a Marvel comedian.
