Veteran actor and filmmaker Manoj Kumar, fondly often called Bharat Kumar for his patriotic roles, handed away on April 4 in Mumbai on the age of 87. His funeral occurred with full state honours on Saturday. Draped within the Indian tricolour, his mortal stays had been taken from his residence in an ambulance adorned with flag-themed garlands — a becoming tribute to the person who symbolised nationalism on display.
