The Bug has signed to Relapse for a brand new album, Machine—his first solo instrumental album with out visitor vocalists. The British producer born Kevin Richard Martin, who launched the collaborative album Disconnect with KMRU in June, will launch the brand new LP on October 4. The singles “Buried (Your Life is Brief)” and “Bodied (Ship For the Hearse)” lead the report—hearken to these beneath.
Machine collates highlights from a sequence of EPs the Bug launched in 2023 and 2024, experimenting with what he calls “ground weapons” to make a sound that’s “ice chilly and dystopian,” celebrating “atmospheric strain, and the enjoyment of full physique assaults, by way of outsized sound methods in undersized membership rooms.”
