The Ocean has sadly performed their final present with longtime drummer Paul Seidel in Madrid. Seidel drummed for The Ocean between 2013 and current day, and was a reasonably formidable songwriting power within the band. The Ocean has not introduced who will substitute Seidel. It is also not stunning that somebody left The Ocean contemplating Mardrid’s present was the final of their run that the band famous was “our last exhibits with the present lineup.” Nonetheless, it at all times sucks to see an important musician depart a band.
“Madrid was Paul‘s final present with The Ocean, and an emotional heavyweight for all of us,” wrote The Ocean. “To say Paul‘s contribution to this band over the previous 11 years was essential and trailblazing can be an understatement. On the drumming finish, his precision, contact and dynamics are unequalled and made the rhythmical realm of the Phanerozoic‘s and Holocene shine.
“On the songwriting finish, Paul wrote Oligocene, Miocene and ‘Holocene’ (the track). As an individual and bandmate, Paul is an unbelievable dude, a relentless supply of constructive vitality, at all times taking care of everybody’s well-being on tour, a set off of stomach-ache inducing laughs and a useful resource of nice concepts and pragmatic approaches to issues. Greater than something, Madrid was a celebration of Paul, who may be seen on this first image carrying a T-shirt of his personal fairly face, introduced by followers…”
