Rumors started swirling of an Eddie Van Halen tribute tour in April 2022. The tour was purported to function Van Halen drummer Alex Van Halen and vocalist David Lee Roth alongside ex-Metallica bassist Jason Newsted (or Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony) and guitarist Joe Satriani.
The tour by no means occurred and in 2024, ex-Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar recruited Anthony, Satriani, drummer Jason Bonham, and multi-instrumentalist Rai Thistlethwayte for his personal Van Halen tribute trek named The Better of All Worlds Tour.
So what occurred with the unique rumored tour? In keeping with Alex Van Halen in a brand new interview with Rolling Stone, all of it got here all the way down to Roth allegedly being an actual jerk.
